his long face that’s at its prettiest in motion, its most vulnerable when its still. the lines around his eyes and mouth, not all of them from laughter—not all of them from grief. his quick fingers and his quick tongue; the locks he can’t pick and the lines he fumbles. how everything silver can so easily turn to lead. if ever there was a character exactly like an onion—layer after layer upon layer around layer, peeled back painstakingly slow, and an aftertaste strong enough that it certainly isn’t for everyone—then it’s this damned elusive elf. each ill-timed chuckle. how he flourishes, almost like a fereldan rose, in the fereldan mud.
